When you pronounce "MODERN" it sounds like "MOD+ URN". "MOD"= according to WordBook means -a British teenager or young adult in the 1960s; noted for their clothes consciousness and opposition to the rockers; AND "URN"=a tall, rounded vase with a stem and base, especially one used for storing the ashes of a cremated person.
